Live Events coverage
Your event has much to share, so why only share it in person?
Recording your live events, keynotes or pannel discussions not only allows for your audience to revisit key points that were presented during your event, but also for new audiences to discover you. By utilising digital platforms alongside your in-person events you expand the reach of your event. This in return increases the engagement between your audience and your organisation.
Share snippets on LinkedIn, Instagram, other social media or put the whole event on YouTube!
Recording versus live-streaming
Now that you have decided that you want to share the contents of your event with the world you'll need to think of how to broadcast it. There are two ways to do this, by sharing recorded footage of the event after the event has taken place or by live-streaming the event as it is happening.
There are two important elements to take into consideration with this decision; the interaction with the audience and the quality of the footage.
Live-streaming enables you to gather a larger audience in one moment to witness the event but also enables you to directly interact with these virtual guests by for instance having them submit questions during a panel discussion, allowing them to be answered immediately.
A quote unquote 'downside' of live-streaming is the image quality. As live-streaming can be quite intense to broadcast, a maximum image resolution of 1080p is the standard for most productions. Even if the cameras have 4, 6 or even 8k resolution sensors. However, keep in mind that the image that your guests will see is still phenomenal. It is also important to note that a recording of the livestream, so not an in-camera recording but a sort of screen recording of the live video, has minimal flexibility in post production. An upside is that the recording of the livestream can be published immediately after the event in said 1080p quality.
Recording your event on the other hand enables more post-production at the cost of live interaction with an online audience. By recording the event we can utilise the full resolution of the camera, putting out even better videos. In this case we are not restricted to 1080p footage. A recording of an event is usually published one month after the event took place and can either be published in full or over different videos as seen above. Not sure which would be better for you? Our agency can help you figure out the best possibilities for your needs.
Lastly there is a third option which is to both live-stream the event as well as making in-camera recordings, allowing the best of both worlds. With this option you can broadcast your event to an online audience as well as create amazing videos after the event has taken place, utilising the full image quality our amazing cameras bring.
